Purchase demand for cheese on Ukrainian market is falling, sales are stimulated by selling at reduced prices.  – INFAGRO

Despite the declining demand, until recently cheese makers  continued producing the same volumes of product, some even increased production of cheese and cheese products.

In particular, there was produced 19% more product than in April, 11.2 thousand tons. However, this was largely due to the increased activity of some producers of cheese products, as supplies to Kazakhstan were resumed.

In May there was produced a quarter more of cheese products, more than 4 thousand tons. Production of cheeses also grew by about 10 percent, to about 7 thousand tons.

It is expected that in June production figures will be much more modest.
