The situation on Ukrainian whey market remains quite favorable for sellers. Exports is active, the number of free warehouses is small, prices are rising – INFAGRO.
In Russia the production of whey powder is increasing every month in comparison with similar period of last year.
Conditions are not improving on Ukrainian whey powder market. Demand is weak, or absolutely absent.
Expectations of vendors on increase of prices for whey powder were not realized. The risen in price offers were not in demand.
It seems the Russian vendors managed to stop the outlined in the beginning of October tendency of price decline.
There are almost no changes on whey powder market in October. Western traders and importers from the Post-Soviet countries do not change price policy and do not indulge by big volume contracts.
Russian and Belarusian producers sell whey powder at record-high prices now, due to ban on European and Ukrainian products.
Only considerable reduced production of cheeses and whey powder allow keeping prices at rather stable level in Ukraine.
Judging by prompt increase of prices for whey powder in second half of summer, Russia is strongly dependent on import of these products.
