There are still few positive changes on Ukrainian cheese market. Cheese sales have grown this year, but it was solely due to imports. – INFAGRO

The situation in the market of butter is rather uncertain. In the world market prices of butter are falling, so, export prices are low. – INFAGRO
The casein season is almost over. Only a couple of dairies continue production of small amounts of casein to fulfill old contracts. The business is not inspiring, no proper price both for casein itself and for by-product butter. – INFAGRO
At the end of summer, after a long period of extremely low demand, Ukrainian producers of condensed milk were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. Although the domestic retail chains have not yet increased their orders, many importers have decided to replenish their canned food by activating purchases. – INFAGRO
It seems that this year Ukraine will show the record high (since 2000s) production and exports of casein.
Milk market of Ukraine is increased in November: many processors do not have enough milk to satisfy the needs, therefore prices quickly grow.
Now the dairy branch of Ukraine goes through the period of changes. Milk prices have been promptly increased, processors try to increase the prices for dairy products too. But hardly this will become a long tendency. The situation worsened again on global markets – export does not rescue so much.
End of September was quite stressful for milk market of Ukraine. Processors postponed revision of prices, despite shortage of milk.
The European Commission has presented a €500m comprehensive package of measures to support European farmers in Brussels today.
