Exports are an essential component of a country’s economic development. Developed exports contribute to the growth of the gross domestic product, create jobs, provide foreign exchange and stimulate competition, which leads to an increase in the quality of products.
Despite the current balance of the Ukrainian dairy market, where imports are important to meet the demand of Ukrainian consumers, the development of exports can stimulate the growth of the efficiency of production and processing of raw materials, which, in turn, will contribute to an increase in supply and improve the trade balance.
Ukraine already operates in key dairy import regions, so the purpose of this outlook is to compare the attractiveness and risks of each of them and identify promising target markets for Ukrainian dairy exports.
The outlook analyzes the regions that are the best in terms of dairy product imports in monetary terms (North Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, and Southeast Asia), as well as regions that are historically and geographically connected to Ukraine and that are also attractive due to trade preferences (Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia).
56 countries were selected for analysis and comparison.
- 17 countries of Central and Eastern Europe
- 8 countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia
- 19 countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)
- 4 countries of North Asia
- 8 countries of Southeast Asia
Volume – 63 pages.
