For cheese producers, the situation on the cheese market is becoming more complicated. In February, the main concern was the cease of the export schemes of cheese products by Belarus. – INFAGRO
The government of Belarus is demanding to accelerate introduction of market mechanisms for the raw milk trade.
In the market of real cheeses, the situation is relatively stable, while producers of cheese products are experiencing difficulties due to the ban of import schemes for this product introduced by Belarus. – INFAGRO
Maria Klimova, Deputy Head Main Food Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus, provided the data on whey processing during a speech at the international seminar of the Kieselmann in Minsk.
In contrast to the two previous years, production of casein is no longer profitable. And not only because of the winter season. The market is changing in favor of using skim milk to produce SMP, which, unlike casein, is more expensive. – INFAGRO
The National Statistics Committee of Belarus has already prepared some preliminary data of 2018 for dairy industry . According to official data, milk production in agricultural organizations, amounted 7.0 million tons, which is 0.7% more than in 2017. – INFAGRO
