The casein season is almost over. Only a couple of dairies continue production of small amounts of casein to fulfill old contracts. The business is not inspiring, no proper price both for casein itself and for by-product butter. – INFAGRO
In May Ukrainian producers of fresh dairy products increased sales keeping high prices. Some of them took advantage of the increased demand and managed to raise prices. – INFAGRO
Milk Alliance Group began export delivery of hard, processed and soft cheese to the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America. The first shipment of cheese took place at the end of 2017.
After fruitful negotiations between the representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, the State Foods and Consumer Protection Service and government delegations Chinese party included nine additional Ukrainian dairies to the list of those entitled to export dairy products to the PRC.
On Ukrainian whey powder market there was the price rollback. The main reason is the drop of external sales with simultaneous active whey production as background – INFAGRO
The Council of Ministers of Belarus approved the National Program for the Republic’s Exports Support and Development to be implemented during next five years.
It seems that this year Ukraine will show the record high (since 2000s) production and exports of casein.
In mid-summer the price of butter was growing unexpectedly fast in Ukraine. In the last two weeks it has risen by 15% – INFAGRO.
Despite the hardships of the long-lasting crisis of the global dairy market, the projections for the coming decade are optimistic. In particular, the world trade of butter is expected to grow.
