The Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade has launched a special investigation into imports of certain types of cheese into Ukraine, regardless of country of origin and export, as well as an anti-dumping investigation into imports into Ukraine of glass containers originating in Belarus.

Lower prices for raw milk and a relatively normal consumer demand made the market conditions favorable for domestic cheese makers to make good money. But there is one serious problem – the flow of cheap European cheeses to Ukraine does not dry out. – INFAGRO
Ukrainian cheese makers are now in a difficult situation. On the one hand, growing imports of cheap European cheeses are putting pressure on the market; on the other hand, fresh dairy producers keep the purchase prices of milk high preventing cheesemakers from lowering them. – INFAGRO
