The “big milk” season gave impulse to rapid growth of butter production. At the same time, exports is a big problem due to low prices. – INFAGRO
While processors decide how to use the growing supply of raw milk, the prices of butter continue to decline. Given the global market trends, Ukrainian producers will also have to reduce prices.
Ukraine exports butter mainly to Azerbaijan (24%), Georgia (22%), Armenia (14%) and Moldova (12%). 63% of the export volume is provided by 5 companies.
In the first quarter of the year imports turned out to be slightly less than exports. Ukraine imported 2.5 thousand tons of butter and 300 tons of milk fat.
