Statistics on production of dairy products in Russia in the first half of the year is available.
Analyzing dynamics of production in comparison with last year, it is possible to see that demand for fresh milk products decreased in the first half of the year.
Milk flow was redirected to production of commodity products and products for strategic stocks.
Volumes of production of processed milk remained at former level, production of fermented milk products and curds was reduced by 2%.
Production of milk powder and butter grew: +55% – SMP, +13% – WMP, +15% – butter. Production of cheeses increased also, by nearly 10%, but growth occurred basically at the expense of cheese products.
