Butter prices in Ukraine declined markedly

There are not absolutely logical events on Ukrainian butter market.

Despite essential devaluation of the UAH and increase of milk prices, the prices for butter decreased in August. There were three reasons: high production volumes, loss of Russian market (where butter was actively exported recent months) and absence of expected deliveries to Agrarian Fund.

In the middle of the month the prices for 72.5% butter are reduced by 5%.

It may be that some operators will manage to reduce the stocks through Belarus but while potential importers of this country do not have official permissions.

Still last month an export of butter from Ukraine was rather essential due to deliveries to Russia. About 2 ths t of the products were exported. Export will be halved in August at the best.
