Ukrainian cheese makers are already almost got used to trading restrictions of Russia. There are certain schemes of sales, and the market develops somehow. 

Now there are fears, that those schemes will be broken after signing of the agreement with the EU. It is almost clear that additionally to non-tariff regulation, Russia will enter import duties for Ukrainian cheese. That will fundamentally change the situation on the market. In such conditions the Ukrainian exporters will be forced to reduce the prices, otherwise they will not be competitive on Russian market. The duties are not so big matter, the transparence of the market is the matter. There is no confidence that after duty payment the deliveries will not be stopped any more because of “low quality” of the products or incorrectly issued documents.

In any case if the duties are entered, it will happen in the course of time, but rules of import by Russia will be already toughened from Monday. Rosselkhoznadzor officially warned the Ukrainian party about that.
