Competition intensifies on Ukrainian cheese market

It is not the best times for Ukrainian cheese makers now.

Russian ban concerns their production first of all. If earlier only cheeses were banned, now cheese products are object for Russian inspections also.

Today no one of large producers of cheese has permission for deliveries to Russia. Many of operators have also lost permissions for export to Kazakhstan.

In such situation the competition intensifies on domestic market. At the time when prices for other dairy products started to grow, cheese makers have even to reduce them.

As a result now the prices for traditional cheeses (50% fat content) for distributors make UAH 50 – 64/kg depending on the producer.
