Belarusian government tries to put dairy market in free floating state

Despite the next preferences for agricultural producers, the government of Belarus makes attempts to put the market in free floating state.

President A. Lukashenko suggested making an experiment and entering free pricing for agricultural enterprises of the Mogilev region. If officials do not “put a spoke in wheel”, this initiative can be extended in whole country.

There are more and more complaints from participants of the dairy market towards indicative pricing of export. They are right, if the prices were set according to demand, stocks would not be so big in Belarus.

On the other hand, for effective development the manufacturers need also to buy raw milk at market prices, not at fixed.
