There is lack of milk for stockpiling now. In the second half of July a growth of spot purchase prices for milk was observed. – INFAGRO.

The most significant increase was noted in the price of milk delivered from households (on average 10-20 kopiyka): in late July the raw milk price from this category of suppliers was around 2,80-3,00 UAH/kg. Only some areas in the Khmelnitsky region and around it were an exception, the price there was about 4 UAH/kg.

The average price of milk from farms stayed virtually unchanged. The purchase price of raw milk bougth from medium and large size farms in late July was at 5,40-6,00 UAH/kg.

The secondary market is also gradually reviving. Spot prices for milk are now on the level of farms’ produced milk. But there is almost no operations with cream, as processors prefer to redirect the product to production of butter.
