In the middle of August a surplus of milk is not observed in the country. Moreover, the prices for it were increased. 

In the middle of August the average price for milk from agricultural enterprises was at UAH 3.90-4.40/kg, but there were prices above that level.

The same tendency concerned milk from households. The average prices for it were at UAH 2.20-2.80. There are already prices at UAH 4.00-4.50/kg in Kherson region due to influence of Dzhankoyskiy MPP, which dries milk for Russian market and which have not enough milk in Crimea.

Exporters of cheeses reduce volume of production and resell raw milk to competitors

Spot prices (resale) for cream and skimmed milk grew also. Skimmed milk of good quality is valued at UAH 2.70-3.30/kg, cream – at UAH 17-19/kg.

Nevertheless, such tendency cannot last for long. Reduction of prices on spot market is expected. Prices for milk from agricultural enterprises will probably be stable the next weeks.
