On 12 April, Arsen Didur, Executive Director of the Union of Dairy Enterprises, visited Molokija Dairy in Ternopil and met with Vitaliy Kovalchuk, co-owner and Chairman of the company’s Supervisory Board.
A short notice of the visit was published on the Dairy Union website, stating that the company continues to maintain its front: providing the needs of the population and the Armed Forces of Ukraine with quality dairy products, preserving jobs and supplying its products to frontline regions.
Molokija is among the 70% of dairies that are currently operating and making a significant contribution to the country’s food security. The plant processes 500 tons of milk per day, supplies dairy products ordered by the state, provides its products for distribution through trade chains, and provides some as humanitarian aid.
It should be noted that Molokija has managed to save jobs: now its staff is 1,300 employees.
SMPU visits to the Union’s member dairies continue.
