Moldova remains the largest consumer of Ukrainian dairy products, despite the trade restrictions introduced by the Government of Moldova  – INFAGRO.
Although exports of fresh dairy products in Ukraine remains low, in June the exports of this type of produce to Moldova was the most significant, 62%, outpacing the supply of these products to Georgia (22%).

Moldova is also holding quite big share in Ukrainian cheese exports, 25%. By purchase of this product ahead is only Kazakhstan (55%).

Since May this year the Moldovan government imposed restrictions on the number of Ukrainian goods, including meat and dairy products.

In July, after the Minister of Economy of Moldova Octavian Kalmyk visit to Kyiv, it was reported that Moldova would not prolong the restrictions after end 2016.
