In Ukrainian parliament there is again an idea of fixing of floor prices for milk.

According to bill # 4194a, it is offered to fix floor price for milk of Extra grade at UAH 5/l, premium grade – at RUR 4.5/l, 1st grade – at UAH 4.25/l, 2nd grade – UAH 4.0/l.

It is good thing that farmers will receive more for milk. But if prices for finished products (for example, milk powder) are not at appropriate level, the manufacturers will not pay UAH 4 for milk from households, unless the UAH will be essentially weakened again.

And how may the price be regulated in market conditions? Even Russians do not dare to fix floor prices for milk. And we aspire to Europe …
