The government of Belarus is demanding to accelerate introduction of market mechanisms for the raw milk trade.
In the market of real cheeses, the situation is relatively stable, while producers of cheese products are experiencing difficulties due to the ban of import schemes for this product introduced by Belarus. – INFAGRO
Maria Klimova, Deputy Head Main Food Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus, provided the data on whey processing during a speech at the international seminar of the Kieselmann in Minsk.
The National Statistics Committee of Belarus has already prepared some preliminary data of 2018 for dairy industry . According to official data, milk production in agricultural organizations, amounted 7.0 million tons, which is 0.7% more than in 2017. – INFAGRO
The prohibition concerns dairy raw materials, including those in consumer packs exceeding 2.5 liters.
The share of Russia in the total volume of exports of Belarusian dairy products is gradually decreasing, the supplies are diversified to the market of CIS countries and far abroad, Head of Department for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus Alexey Bogdanov said on Wednesday in Minsk.
In Jan-May 2017 the volume of dairy imports to Russian Federation increased 6% compared to the same period in 2016 due to attractive prices for milk powder, butter, and cheese products.
Iran is interested in importing Belarus’ dairy and meat products, as reported by Belarus Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Marinich.
Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus has signed the Protocol of Cooperation with Chinese DRex Food Group and Xinrongji Holding Group which provides for investment in agriculture of the Republic approximately $1 billion, reports the Interfax-West.
The change in the minimum recommended export prices corresponds to dynamics of the Russian and world markets.
